Free Tour Praga Español

There are 4 types of free walking tours available in Prague, and in this post, we let you know about your options, provide schedules, and explain what you will see on each tour.

Most companies offer free tours of the Old Town and Jewish Quarter as well as tours of Prague Castle and Charles Bridge.

But, tours for the New Town and tours that cover WW2 and communism in Prague are also available as are self-guided and audio tours.

OVERVIEW AND SCHEDULE

A visit to the historic city of Prague feels as quintessentially European as you can get.

The best way to explore Prague is on foot. In fact, many historic areas in the city are only accessible to walkers.

There are many free walking tours in Prague, though they operate really as name-your-own-price tours, and below is a calendar with up to date tour options.

We also offer free self-guided tours as well as 2 GPS-led audio tours, one of Old Town and one of Prague Castle.

You decide at the end of a tour how much a tour is worth or what you could afford, including for free.

Most companies offer a tour of Old Town and the Jewish Quarter and several also offer a tour from Charles Bridge to Prague Castle.

One company also offers a free tour of the New Town while another includes the New Town as a part of its Old Town Tour.

And lastly, one company offers a free tour that covers the history of WW2 and Communism in Prague.

If you enjoyed your tour, it is recommended to give your tour guide 200 Czech Crowns, which is around 8-10 Euros, or whatever you can afford.

These tours are all highly rated (most with 5 stars on TripAdvisor) and offer tours in English, and a few in other languages as well.

  • Powder Tower
  • Wenceslas Square

  • House of the Black Madonna
  • Church of Our Lady before Týn
  • Site of Prague Uprising in WW2
  • Old Jewish Cemetery
  • Old Jewish Synagogue
  • And more (read our guide to the area)

This company offers a 3-hour tour of Old Town and the Jewish Quarter every day at 10:00 am and again at 15:00 (3 pm).

What sets this tour apart from the others in town is that instead of ending at the foot of Charles Bridge, you will walk across it and end at the John Lennon Wall.

They keep groups relatively small (max 20), which they say allows them to visit the interiors of some churches and other buildings.

You can book this tour here.

GuíaTouber

Prague Extravaganza

Much like their competitors, this company also provides a Charles Bridge and Prague Castle tour for free at 1 pm and 3:30 pm every day.
